The #1 Best NYC Corporate Chair Massage Company Often Works with Catskills Spas to Develop Qi Healing Programs

Advanced “Chi” Based Hands-on-Healing Techniques

There are many subtle factors that influence how we feel and whether we are healthy or ill, full of vitality or fatigued and depleted.  The New Corporate Chair Massage Company – http://www.eventschairmassage.com integrates Qi and Chinese medicine into their health and wellness programs. Many of our clients in New York City seek staycations or weekend stress management retreats. We offer them  programs on how to meditate, teach them what is yoga  and more.

In many aboriginal cultures, there is recognition that this energy is part of the internal expression of life force Qi, Ki, Chi, Prana; the vital force that influences how we function every moment of every day.  Because of this recognition, there is a teaching of specific techniques for tapping this vital force and maintaining it in a state of balance.  Man, along with the rest of the animal and plant worlds, feels, acts, grows and reacts to this internal force.

This life force can influence key aspects of your daily existence including your;

  • Alertness in the morning or evening
  • Emotional health
  • Sexual libido
  • Breathing patterns
  • Sleep patterns
  • Dream quality
  • Mood stability
  • Sensory perceptions
  • Nutrition
  • Pain tolerance
  • Healing of damaged tissue
  • Metabolism and production of hormones
  • Effectiveness
  • Memory and learning
  • Immune health

America has absorbed a cornucopia of Hands-on Healing techniques. People from Vietnam, China, Brazil, Puerto Rico, India etc. have brought their traditional healing touch techniques here and have created a “healing Stew.” Every culture has its own massage and bodywork techniques for reducing pain. There are literally thousands of techniques and pressure points by which you can tap into the body’s vital healing force.  Doing so is your first step to restoring the balance of this healing rhythm to your system.

THE FACE AND CRANIUM

Signs of energy and structural imbalance in the face and head:

  • Pain.
  • Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction. This joint is located just in front of the ear at the back of the jaw line. The TMJ shifts each time the jaw opens or closes. Emotional tension and even dental braces can create some degree of imbalance in this area.  Symptoms of TMJ imbalance include;
  • Ringing in the ears.
  • Locked jaw.
  • General facial pain.
  • A clicking sound when chewing.
  • Headaches over the temples.
  • Difficulty opening and closing the mouth.
  • Constantly biting the lips, tongue, or inside.
  • Excessive sensitivity to light or sound.
  • Constantly raising the eyebrows.
  • Blinking the eyes very frequently or extremely rarely.
  • A tight pinched look around the mouth.
  • Frequent squinting of the eyes.
  • Grinding or clenching the teeth.

Causes of imbalance in the head and face:

  • Air pollution, constant loud noise, excessively bright lights, cigarette smoking, and consumption of alcohol, refined sugar,       pork, coffee, or chemical preservatives and food additives.
  • Poor breathing habits
  • Lack of exercise.
  • Injuries to the head, neck, face, or shoulders.
  • Poor circulation.
  • Occupations that require a great deal of mental activity.
  • Poor posture
  • Emotionally based musculoskeletal imbalances.
  • Negative reactions such as fear, anger, and anxiety.

The #1 Corporate Chair Massage Company in Midtown Manhattan Uses Aromatherapy at NYC Trade Shows to Reduce Absenteeism

At a recent alternative medicine conference, I attended there were many Human resource professionals in attendance. They were seeking information about stress management, yoga, wellness fairs and massage services for their employees. In attendance was The New York City Chair Massage Company – www.eventschairmassage.com.

boy-2029661__340.png

One of the main topics was medicinal plants, aromatherapy and how some herbalists create their own products.  This was important because seated chair massage combined with aromatherapy is being used more often now at trade shows at the Javits Center to increase sales as well as to increase productivity and reduce absenteeism.

Modes of application

The modes of application of aromatherapy include:

  • Aerial diffusion: for environmental fragrancing or aerial disinfection
  • Direct inhalation: for respiratory disinfection, decongestant, expectoration as well as psychological effects
  • Topical applications: for general massage, baths, compresses, therapeutic skin care.

Materials

Some of the materials employed include:

Today most chair massage experts use aromatherapy in hand and foot massage to create a sense of harmony and relaxation in stressed-out workers. This is especially so for serious athletes such as cyclists.

The Best Corporate Chair Massage and Aromatherapy to Reduce Absenteeism

I was at a corporate fitness conference with The New York City Chair Massage Company – www.eventschairmassage.com this weekend. One of the main topics was the ability of on-site chair massage combined with aromatherapy to increase productivity and reduce absenteeism.

oil-1205635__340.jpg

Aromatherapy uses plant materials and aromatic plant oils, including essential oils, and other aroma compounds for improving psychological or physical well-being.

It can be offered as a complementary therapy or, more controversially, as a form of alternative medicine. Complementary therapy can be offered alongside standard treatment, with alternative medicine offered instead of conventional, evidence-based treatments.

Aromatherapists, who specialize in the practice of aromatherapy, utilize blends of therapeutic essential oils that can be issued through topical application, massage, inhalation or water immersion to stimulate a desired response.

There is no good medical evidence that aromatherapy can either prevent or cure any disease, but it might help improve general well-being.

basil-583816__180.jpg

The use of essential oils for therapeutic, spiritual, hygienic and ritualistic purposes goes back to a number of ancient civilizations including the Chinese, Indians, Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans who used them in cosmetics, perfumes and drugs.

Oils are described by Dioscorides, along with beliefs of the time regarding their healing properties, in his De Materia Medica, written in the first century. Distilled essential oils have been employed as medicines since the invention of distillation in the eleventh century, when Avicenna isolated essential oils using steam distillation.

The concept of aromatherapy was first mooted by a small number of European scientists and doctors, in about1907. In 1937, the word first appeared in print in a French book on the subject: Aromathérapie: Les Huiles Essentielles, Hormones Végétales by René-Maurice Gattefossé, a chemist. An English version was published in 1993. In 1910, Gattefossé burned a hand very badly and later claimed he treated it effectively with lavender oil.

acupuncture-906144__340.jpg

A French surgeon, Jean Valnet, pioneered the medicinal uses of essential oils, which he used as antiseptics in the treatment of wounded soldiers during World War II.

Today most chair massage experts use aromatherapy in hand and foot massage to create a sense of harmony and relaxation in stressed out workers.

Stress Management, On-site Chair Massage and Authenticity in the Workplace

The #1 Corporate Chair Massage Company in the United States is where I work every day. I like to be an effective leader. As a teacher and mentor am I often asked by students, associates and clients to especially at corporate wellness fairs to speak about authenticity in the workplace, especially concerning leadership issues and stress management.

tied-up-1792237__340.jpg

Authentic leadership is an approach to leadership that emphasizes building the leader’s legitimacy through honest relationships with followers which value their input and are built on an ethical foundation. Generally, authentic leaders are positive people with truthful self-concepts who promote openness. By building trust and generating enthusiastic support from their subordinates, authentic leaders are able to improve individual and team performance. This concept has been fully embraced by many of the most effective leaders and leadership coaches. Many of these individuals view authentic leadership as an alternative to leaders who emphasize profit and share price over people and ethics. Authentic leadership is a growing area of study in academic research on leadership which has recently grown from obscurity to the beginnings of a fully mature concept. That said, many foundational papers on this topic have recently been retracted or called into question because of issues surrounding the reporting of data and the inability of the authors to produce their original data.

One of the ways people can become more authentic is through on-site and seated corporate chair massage. When a person get a neck and back massage many of the knots and stress points that create inauthenticity and fear are dissolved.

anxiety-2019928__340.jpg

Still always being authentic is not always the best thing in the stress filled office.   Here is a great article that discusses this.

The Best Corporate Chair Massage

When our company, the Chair Massage Company of NY  – www.eventschairmassage.com brings our wellness services to large corporation we often integrate and fine teas. This creates a stress free and very relaxing environment to go with the in-site massage and the seated massage.

 treatment-1327811__340.jpg

Many people ask us about aromatherapy and herbs teas like white, green and black teas.

oil-1370569__340.jpg

Most people don’t realize that all tea comes from one plant Camellia Sinensis if it doesn’t come from that plant it is not tea (herbs come from a variety of plants). Over time, the plant has protected itself from photosynthetic stressors by forming chemical compounds known as polyphenols. Polyphenols, which include flavonoids, have the same beneficial class of compounds, antioxidants, that make fruits and vegetables good for you.

The difference in green tea and oolong tea is processing. All tea is green when picked. Green tea is heated in order to halt the natural enzymatic reaction (oxidation) of the leaf. Once dried, green tea leaves are then rolled intentionally breaking the cell structure. Oolong tea leaves are plucked, kept under carefully controlled conditions and allowed to oxidize. These leaves are not intentionally broken, leaving most of the cell structure intact. These processing differences make each category of tea beneficially different even though they come from the same plant.

Lewis Harrison the “RealUGuru” Worked with Donald Trump Up Close.

It all started with a phone call in 2002.

It was my friend Harry. Harry was an executive at the Learning Annex, the continuing education company that was known throughout the United States  and which had been an element of endless television shows including Sex and the City.

“Lew”, Harry said, “We are organizing a bunch of Wealth and Real Estate Expos in major cities throughout the United States and Canada and we would like you to be part of our team.

“What is involved” I asked?

“The expo has 3 components”, he said. “Keynote speakers, 100-200 Exhibit Booths

and over 50 Seminars. We expect over  45,000 attendees.

imats-450959__180.jpg

And so it was. I was brought in with my company Events Chair Massage – www.eventschairmassage.com. I was placed in the VIP area handling customer service and offering various stress management approaches to the attendees.

I did not work for Donald Trump as many people assume, I worked with him. I also worked with George Foreman, Dr. Alan Greenspan (Live via Satellite), David Bach, Barbara Corcoron from “Shark Tank”, Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield, Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad, Poor Dad author), Ervin Magic Johnson, Former Vice President Al Gore, Oprah’s Suzy Orman and many other celebrity speakers. The networking was incredible and I was often asked to personally offer my stress management tips to the speakers. In fact Jack Canfiled ultimately wrote the introduction to my best selling book “Healing Depression Naturally”.

It was a great experience and I was able to use and expand my business and wealth and success coaching and mentoring skills as I worked with:

  • Developers • Lenders • Real Estate Agents • Brokers • Property Managers • Attorneys • REITS  • Banks • Home Inspectors
  • Moving Companies • Credit Card Companies • Home & Community Builders
  • coffee franchises • investment opportunities • preconstruction co.s

And literally thousands of Real Estate Investors!

Over the next four years I traveled all over the country with Mr. Trump and the team as we went city to city as part of the Learning Annex Real Estate Wealth Expos

donald-trump-1547274__180.jpg

It was a bit of a traveling circus. I often attended planning meetings, did a bit of trouble shooting and often spoke to the speakers including Mr. Trump when they needed to solve logistical challenge. Ultimately Bill Zanker the director of the Expo co-authored a book with Mr. Trump and I became part of the wealth building “One Minute Millionaire Tips” video series developed by learning annex.

From there I became President of the New York Chapter of the National Speaker’s Association and ultimately a national network radio talk show host at WIOX Radio 91.3 FM in NY.

People always asked me what it was like working with him. Though he was certainly self-confident, even  ab8t arrogant, he was always pleasant to talk to and I learned a lot from him especially concerning how to build business momentum and keep in going.

He never seemed to be one for consensus.  People often ask me if I think he would make a good President? I say not likely. Aside from his political positions the fact is that he never seemed to be one for consensus and it seems to me that that is an important quality for any leader.

There is one more thing. Mr. Trump has constantly harped on Hillary Clinton’s speaking fees. We paid him $1 million dollars per speech per city!

Meteorology, Game Theory and Statistics

Today is an important day for students of game based thinking (those that think life really is a game and needs to be lived as if one is playing in that game).  It is Meteorology Day!

MEASURE.jpg

This is the anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of
the Metre which took place in Paris in 1875, May 20th has been
deemed “Meterology Day” in countries across the world. Seventeen
nations met at the Metre Convention to set up guidelines and
institutions for the measurement of weather and the metric
system initially reliant upon French standards. The convention
also served as the catalyst for the International Committee for
Weights and Measures, The International Bureau of Weights and
Measures and the CGPM. The convention set new standards for
global participation in the science behind measurement in its
various applications.

sTATISTICS.jpg

Without agreed rules of measurement we would not have an effective system for statistics, and without statistics we would not have the sense of numbers we would need to make better decisions in physical spaces especially related to game theory and Harrison’s Applied Game Based Thinking.

How does one strategize in a global game space without a standard for measurement.

Without measurement you could not be reading this blog  on your “smart” device.

Thanks for reading and sharing this.

Cyber-Bullying and the Resurrection of Monica Lewinsky

Much of my work in the creation of the Applied Game Based Thinking is to integrate the classic spiritual teachings and ideas drawn from the “great strategic thinkers” .

Part of this work requires the integration of inner wisdom, stress management,  with modern technology, especially in dealing and responding to those with evil intentions with love and compassion.

imgres

I was recently at a conference on Cyber-Bullying. On the breakout sessions the meeting planner had my company www.eventschairmassage.com offering 10 minute anti-stress massages and I got inbto a conversation about what I call “Mental Akido” or “Cyber Akido.”

Aikido (Japanese: 合気道 HepburnAikidō?[a.i.ki.doː] is a modern Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba as a synthesis of his martial studies, philosophy, and religious beliefs. Aikido is often translated as “the way of unifying (with) life energy” or as “the way of harmonious spirit.” Ueshiba’s goal was to create an art that practitioners could use to defend themselves while also protecting their attacker from injury.”

Part of my personal journey is to learn and build on the work of others. Today in my research on internet trolls, Troll Tricksters and Cyber bullies I found a new heroine and I was a bit surprised.  Monica Lewinsky.

imgres

Yes! That Monica Lewinsky.

She is an extraordinary woman making a real difference in the world.

I opened an article because I saw her name on the headline. The image of money, power, influence and sex reflexively caught my prurient interests.

I was in for a surprise…

The article presents a portrait of an aware, elegant, bright, talented and powerful woman who has had to transcend the worst  never-ending psychological abuse that the world can throw at a person. She has found her way and has become an important voice in the movement against Cyber-bullying.

If you have ever been bullied; made fun of; victimized; or betrayed by a friend; this article is a must read.

How to Profit in the Restaurant Business

Many readers of my blogs let me know every time they read about applied game based thinking (AGBT)  or game theory being applied somewhere in the world.

The concept is so pervasive in the culture that half the time people who realize they are describing the concept  of “Game Based Thinking” to solve their challenges don’t even use the word “Game”.

Here is an article by a famous Chef about how awful the restaurant business is for anyone who does not use Game Based Thinking. Interestingly, the word “Game” is never mentioned in the article.

AC.jpg

The key here is that he is observing his business based on “game space” strategy and the Theory of Constraints.

Remember Game based thinking means strategizing based on what others might do

I was speaking at a convention of restaurant owners recently. The chairman of their committee had contacted my company www.nostressspeaker.com to have me speak  at a convention on the stress of owning a restaurant Of course we included corporate on-site chair massage in the program through our partnership with www.eventschairmassage.com.

Healing Depression By Controlling Intake of High Glycemic Index Foods.

Some people get depressed as a side-effect of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). A way to prevent this is eating foods low on the glycemic index.

imgres.jpg

The glycemic index or glycaemic index (GI) is a number associated with a particular type of food that indicates the food’s effect on a person’s blood glucose (also called blood sugar) level. A value of 100 represents the standard, an equivalent amount of pure glucose.

The GI represents the total rise in a person’s blood sugar level following consumption of the food; it may or may not represent the rapidity of the rise in blood sugar. The steepness of the rise can be influenced by a number of other factors, such as the quantity of fat eaten with the food. The GI is useful for understanding how the body breaks down carbohydrates and only takes into account the available carbohydrate (total carbohydrate minus fiber) in a food. Although the food may contain fats and other components that contribute to the total rise in blood sugar, these effects are not reflected in the GI.

The glycemic index is usually applied in the context of the quantity of the food and the amount of carbohydrate in the food that is actually consumed. A related measure, the glycemic load (GL), factors this in by multiplying the glycemic index of the food in question by the carbohydrate content of the actual serving. Watermelon has a high glycemic index, but a low glycemic load for the quantity typically consumed. Fructose, by contrast, has a low glycemic index, but can have a high glycemic load if a large quantity is consumed.

imgres.jpg

The organization of the glycemic index revolves around the ranking of glucose at an arbitrary figure of 100.  Foods are evaluated by how fast they turn into blood sugar in comparison to sucrose.  Foods with a glycemic index above 100 turn into blood sugar even faster than sucrose. The higher the ranking of the food the more glycemic it is.  A food whose glycemic ranking is over 60 is considered high on the glycemic index. The higher a food ranks on the glycemic index, the greater its influence on glucose levels and the greater potential for it to effect mood swings and other psychological symptoms.

The best foods to use for stabilizing blood sugar based on the glycemic index are  green leafy vegetable. Among starchy vegetables sweet potatoes – (54) and, green peas (48)  are best. Fruits tend to be high on the GI however those fruits that are lower and can be used in small amounts include grapes (43), orange  (43), peach  (42), pear  (36), apple  (36),  plum  (24),  cherries  (22).  With exception of split peas (high on the GI with a rating of 82) most legumes are in the 30-49 range and soybeans are only 18. And peanuts are 14.

These are the best whole grains to use: in a hypglycemia control diet. rolled oats and oat meal (49),  bulger  (47) wheat kernels  (41),  hominy  (40),  whole wheat  (37) , Puffed Wheat  (25),  barley  (25)

Others include

Rice Bran  (19)

The best “Low” glycemic index foods , are the ones  with a ranking under 45  including  beans, cruciferous vegetables such as cauliflower and broccoli and high-fiber, low-sugar cereals as well as low-fat, unsweetened plain yogurt,  grapefruit, apples and tomatoes, to name a few.

I found the most effective approach to integrating the glycemic rating system in an herbal based emotional healing system is to:

1. Mix 30 percent of total calories from vegetarian proteins with 40 to 50 percent from carbohydrates ranked low to moderate on the glycemic index.

2. Fat calories should be in the 20 to 25 percent range and should be derived from monounsaturates such as olive oil

3. Choose whole grain breakfast cereals based on wheat bran, barley and oats

4. Use whole grain breads made with whole seeds.

5. Use lemon juice and vinegar dressings

6. Pay attention to portion control
